Préparation

  1. Cut the cake into shapes

    • Cut the mud cake into 4 pieces.
    • Keep the biggest piece for the head, and use the others for the nose and ears.
    • Square off the main head piece, since Bluey's head is quite square.
    Étape 1
  2. Assemble the head

    • Stand the head piece up on the cake board.
    • Squash the nose piece onto the head.
    • Cut the icing off the ears and set them aside.
    Étape 2
  3. Cover with buttercream

    • Tint the buttercream blue, plus a tan colour for the nose.
    • Make sure the buttercream is really soft so it goes on easily.
    • Cover the cake and smooth it all over.
    Étape 3
  4. Chill the cake

    • Pop the cake into the fridge until the buttercream is really firm.
    Étape 4
  5. Add the patches and ears

    • Add a darker blue buttercream over the top for Bluey's patches.
    • Cover the reserved ears in the dark blue buttercream.
    • Pop wafers onto the front of the ears.
    Étape 5
  6. Add the face details

    • Pipe the eyebrows with the light blue buttercream.
    • Place a chocolate button for the nose.
    • Use a giant marshmallow for the eyes, with M&M's for the pupils.
