Préparation

  1. Prepare the strawberries

    • Wash the strawberries well and pick narrow ones to help with shaping later.
    • Remove the stems carefully without ripping them and set them aside.
    Étape 1
  2. Skewer and dry

    • Stab each strawberry with a large bamboo skewer, pushing it all the way through.
    • Stand the skewers upright on a support so the strawberries can dry.
    Étape 2
  3. Make the chocolate clay

    • Melt the chocolate and mix in the corn syrup until it reaches a clay-like consistency.
    • Let it firm up slightly so it can be rolled and shaped.
    Étape 3
  4. Cut the petals

    • Roll out the chocolate clay and cut out 8 petals, using piping tips as cutters.
    • Thin out the edges of each petal to make them look more realistic.
    Étape 4
  5. Shape the roses

    • Wrap the petals around each strawberry, overlapping them until you are satisfied with the rose shape.
    • Use a little melted chocolate to glue a reserved stem on top of each rose.
