Préparation
- Étape 1
Make the cookie dough
- Cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour, baking powder and salt until a smooth dough forms.

Chill the dough
- Shape the dough into a flat disc, wrap it and chill until firm.

Cut out the shapes
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface.
- Cut out Halloween shapes such as monsters, moons, bats, ghosts and pumpkins.

Bake the cookies
- Place the shapes on a baking tray and bake at 180 °C until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool completely on a cooling rack.

Make the cream cheese frosting
- Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Tint the frosting with food coloring if desired.
- Étape 6
Frost and decorate
- Spread or pipe the cream cheese frosting over the cooled cookies.
- Decorate with the Halloween designs.
