Préparation
- Étape 1
Mix the honey and pineapple juice
- Combine the honey and pineapple juice in a bowl.
- Whisk until well blended.
- Étape 2
Coat the ham
- Place the ham in a baking dish and discard the glaze packet it comes with.
- Lather the ham all over with the honey and pineapple mixture, working it into every crack and crevice.
- Étape 3
Bake the ham
- Bake the ham until cooked through, about 1 h 45 min depending on the ham.
- Étape 4
Mix the seasonings
- Combine the brown sugar, white sugar, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cloves and allspice.
- Mix everything really well.
- Étape 5
Crust the ham
- Remove the drippings from the baking dish into a pan and set aside.
- Gently pack half of the seasoning mixture onto the ham, pressing it into the cracks.
- Return the ham to the oven on broil, uncovered, for 10 min max, watching so it does not burn.
- Étape 6
Make the glaze
- Add the remaining half of the seasonings to the reserved drippings along with the pineapple juice.
- Simmer until the consistency gets nice and thick.
- Étape 7
Glaze and serve
- Pour the glaze all over the finished ham.
- Serve and enjoy.
