Preheat and prepare the dough

• Preheat the oven to 175 °C.
• Line a baking tray with baking paper.
• Place the sugar cookie dough balls on the tray, using two dough balls per cookie for a thicker base.

Bake the cookie bases

• Bake the cookie bases until just set and lightly golden.

Add the tree cookies

• Remove the tray from the oven and press a tree cookie gently into the center of each warm cookie.
• Scatter the sprinkles over the cookies.

Finish baking

• Return the tray to the oven and bake until the cookies are fully baked.

Cool

• Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
