Préparation

  1. Crush the cakes and mix the dough

    • Crumble the Christmas tree cakes into a mixing bowl.
    • Add the cream cheese and beat on low speed until smooth, about 1 minute.
    Étape 1
  2. Shape the balls

    • Using a 2-teaspoon cookie scoop, portion the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange on a parchment-lined baking tray.
    • Freeze, uncovered, until firm, about 5 minutes.
    • Roll the portions in your palms until smooth (the dough is sticky, gloves are recommended).
    • Return to the freezer until firm, about 10 minutes.
    Étape 2
  3. Melt the candy melts

    • Microwave the candy melts in a medium microwaveable bowl on 50% power, stopping to stir every 30 seconds, until melted.
    Étape 3
  4. Dip and decorate

    • Using a fork, dip the truffles into the melted candy melts, scraping off excess against the side of the bowl.
    • Transfer to a clean parchment-lined baking tray and immediately sprinkle with sprinkles.
    • Pipe the cookie icing in curved lines over the truffles.
    Étape 4
  5. Let set

    • Set aside until completely set before serving.
