step by step

Method

  1. Mix the apples with sugar, flour and cinnamon

    • Slice the raw apples into a mixing bowl.
    • Add the sugar, flour, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
    • Stir everything together until the apples are evenly coated.

  2. Transfer to the baking dish

    • Pour the apple mixture into a baking dish.
    • Spread it out evenly.

  3. Sift the cake mix with cinnamon

    • Sift the Jiffy cake mix with the remaining cinnamon to remove lumps.

  4. Add juice and top with the cake mix

    • Pour a little pineapple juice into each corner of the dish.
    • Sprinkle the sifted cake mix evenly over the apples.
    • Dot the softened margarine over the top.

  5. Bake

    • Bake at 180 °C until golden and the apples are tender.
