step by step

Method

  1. Wash and marinate the shrimp

    • Wash the shrimp with cold water, vinegar and lime, then drain.
    • Marinate with oyster sauce, soy sauce, green seasoning, garlic, salt and black pepper.
    • Make sure every shrimp is well coated.
    Step 1
  2. Sauté the aromatics

    • Heat oil and butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
    • When the butter is melted, add the onion, garlic, ginger and scallion whites.
    • Mix until fragrant.
    Step 2
  3. Season and cook the rice

    • Add the washed rice, Chinese five spice, fried rice seasoning and bouillon powder, coating the rice with the spices.
    • Add the soy sauce and oyster sauce for flavor and color.
    • Add water, cover and simmer until the flavors infuse into the rice.
    Step 3
  4. Fry the shrimp

    • In another pan, heat some oil over medium heat.
    • Add the marinated shrimp and fry until completely pink.
    Step 4

    • Uncover the rice, fluff it up and raise the heat to high.
    • Keep mixing until you get an almost charred fried rice consistency, then taste and adjust the seasoning or sauce.
    • Add the vegetables and cooked shrimp and give everything a final toss.

    • Serve hot.
