step by step

Method

  1. Rest the pizza dough

    • Take the pizza dough out and let it rest at room temperature so it is easy to stretch.
    Step 1
  2. Marinate the tomatoes

    • Mix the diced tomatoes, fresh basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper in a bowl.
    • Set aside to marinate while you prepare the rest.
    Step 2
  3. Make the garlic butter

    • Melt the salted butter with olive oil, minced garlic and flat leaf parsley in a small pan.
    • Let it simmer gently for a minute or two.
    Step 3
  4. Preheat the oven and pan

    • Turn on the broiler and set the rack to the top third of the oven.
    • Heat a frying pan with a little olive oil.
    Step 4
  5. Build the pizza base

    • Stretch the pizza dough and lay it into the prepared frying pan.
    • Brush the garlic butter over the whole surface of the dough, including the crust.
    • Sprinkle over the Parmesan and shredded mozzarella.
    Step 5
  6. Brown the base and broil

    • Cook on the stovetop until the bottom of the base is nicely browned.
    • Transfer the pan to the oven and broil until the cheese is melted and bubbling, watching closely so it does not burn.
    Step 6
  7. Top with tomatoes and burrata

    • Spoon the marinated tomatoes over the pizza, leaving the liquid behind.
    • Spread them out and top with the burrata.
    • Finish with a little garlic oil, flaky sea salt and pepper.
    Step 7
  8. Slice and serve

    • Cut into slices and enjoy while hot.
    Step 8
