step by step
Method
- Step 1
Melt the chocolate
- Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
- Let it cool slightly.
- Step 2
Make the cake batter
- Whisk the eggs with the sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and the milk.
- Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt until just combined.
- Step 3
Bake the cake
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake at 180 °C until a skewer comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely on a cooling rack.
- Step 4
Shape the Minecraft decorations
- Melt the remaining chocolate and pour it into flat molds to set.
- Cut the set chocolate into squares to build the crafting table, pickaxe and cake blocks.
- Assemble the chocolate blocks on top of the cooled cake.
