Schritt für Schritt
Zubereitung
- Schritt 1
Apply silver leaf to the back of the gems
- Stick each gummy gem straight onto the silver leaf transfer, back side down, and press so it adheres.
- Alternatively, apply the silver leaf while the gummies are still in the mold for a cleaner finish.
- Schritt 2
Add shimmer to the back of the gems
- Brush or dust the sparkly edible shimmer onto the back of the remaining gems.
- Compare the glitter finish with the silver leaf finish.
- Schritt 3
Cover the rest of the gems
- Finish the remaining gems, doing some with the glitter and some with the silver leaf.
- Schritt 4
Attach the gems to the cake
- Make sure the cake is well chilled.
- Pipe a little fresh buttercream onto the back of each gem.
- Press each gem onto the cake and hold briefly so it sticks firmly.
- Schritt 5
Finish and serve
- Take a close-up shot with the flash on to bring out the sparkle.
- Serve and enjoy — the gems are edible and soft, unlike isomalt or hard candy.
