paso a paso

Preparación

  1. Make the caramel banana topping

    • Lay the bananas down flat in the baking pan, covering the bottom.
    • Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and cook until it caramelizes.
    • Pour the caramel over the bananas and set the pan aside.
    Paso 1
  2. Mash the bananas and mix the wet ingredients

    • Mash the 3 overripe bananas in a mixing bowl.
    • Add the brown sugar and the oil and mix until incorporated.
    • Add the eggs and mix well.
    • Stir in the Greek yogurt and the vanilla extract.
    Paso 2
  3. Add the dry ingredients

    • Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
    • Mix slowly and gently until just combined, so the bread stays tender.
    Paso 3
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips

    • Slowly fold the mini chocolate chips into the batter.
    Paso 4
  5. Assemble and bake

    • Pour the batter right on top of the caramelized bananas in the pan.
    • Bake at 350°F (175°C) until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
    Paso 5
  6. Unmold and serve

    • Let the bread cool slightly, then flip it out of the pan so the caramelized bananas are on top.
    • Slice and serve.
