Preparación

  1. Freeze the Nutella layer

    • Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
    • Spread the Nutella onto the parchment into a thin, even square the size of the pan.
    • Freeze until firm.

  2. Preheat the oven

    • Preheat the oven to 163 °C.
    • Line and grease an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.

  3. Whisk the butter and sugars

    • In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.

  4. Add eggs and vanilla

    • Add the eggs and vanilla extract.
    • Whisk vigorously to help create a crackly top.

  5. Make the brownie batter

    • Stir in the cocoa powder and salt until fully combined.
    • Mix in the vegetable oil.
    • Gently fold in the flour until just combined, without overmixing.
    • Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Layer the batter and Nutella

    • Spread half the batter into the prepared pan.
    • Place the frozen Nutella sheet on top.
    • Spread the remaining batter over it to cover the Nutella completely.

  7. Bake the brownies

    • Bake until a toothpick near the center comes out with no wet batter, just a little Nutella and slightly moist crumbs.

  8. Cool completely

    • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.

  9. Decorate with strawberries

    • Spread a thin layer of Nutella over the cooled brownies.
    • Arrange the strawberry slices all over the top.
    • Drizzle with more Nutella and enjoy fresh.
