Préparation

  1. Melt the butter and chocolate

    • Melt the butter and chocolate together in a small pot on the stove over low heat.
    • Stir until smooth, then set aside.
    Étape 1
  2. Whip the sugars and eggs

    • Whip the brown sugar, granulated sugar and eggs together.
    • Whisk for 3-4 minutes until shiny and pale; this creates the crackly brownie top.
    Étape 2
  3. Combine the wet ingredients

    • Pour the melted chocolate and butter into the egg and sugar mixture.
    • Add the vanilla extract and whisk until fully combined.
    Étape 3
  4. Mix the dry ingredients

    • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
    Étape 4
  5. Make the dough

    • Fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
    • Let the dough sit at room temperature.
    Étape 5
  6. Scoop the cookies

    • Scoop about 2 tbsp of cookie dough per cookie onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
    Étape 6
  7. Bake

    • Bake at 350F for 9-11 minutes; don't over bake, the cookies will set as they cool.
    • While still hot, use a small round bowl or cup to shape the cookies.
    Étape 7
  8. Serve

    • Serve the cookies over vanilla ice cream and enjoy.
    Étape 8
