Method

  1. Make the dough

    • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast, salt) and mix.
    • Pour in the beaten eggs, orange juice and vanilla.
    • Mix until the dough is shaggy.
    • Add in the cubes of butter and knead on medium speed for about 3-5 minutes. The dough should be slightly sticky.
    Step 1
  2. Let the dough rise

    • Transfer to a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
    Step 2
  3. Make the cranberry filling

    • Add the cranberries, orange juice, brown sugar, vanilla and a pinch of salt to a medium pot.
    • Set over medium heat and cook until the cranberries have softened.
    • Pour through a strainer. You should end up with about 1/4 cup of puree.
    Step 3
  4. Assemble the rolls

    • Roll out the dough to 18x20 inches.
    • Spread on the butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and then add two tablespoons of the cranberry sauce. Spread in a thin layer.
    • Roll the dough and pinch the seam.
    • Cut using some floss into two-inch rolls. You should end up with nine rolls.
    • Transfer to a greased 8x8-inch square pan.
    • Let rise until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Step 4
  5. Bake the rolls

    • Preheat your oven to 350F.
    • Bake the rolls for about 20 minutes, until bubbly and slightly firm on the edges.
    Step 5
  6. Make the glaze and finish

    • Make the glaze by mixing all the glaze ingredients together.
    • Drizzle over the rolls when they're warm.
