step by step

Method

  1. Cook the imitation crab

    • Melt the butter in a pan over medium-low heat and add a splash of water.
    • Add the frozen imitation crab, add a bit more water and raise the heat to medium-high.
    • Cook for about 5 minutes, then remove the crab while still half cooked and set aside.
    Step 1
  2. Boil the ramen

    • Cook the ramen noodles in water as usual.
    • Drain only a little of the water so the noodles are coated but some broth remains.
    Step 2
  3. Build the spicy sauce

    • Stir the Korean red chili flakes and buldak sauce into the noodles.
    • Add the cheese and raise the heat to medium-high so it melts.
    • Squeeze in the juice of the limes and add a little more buldak sauce.
    • Keep stirring constantly so the cheese does not burn on the bottom.
    Step 3
  4. Add the crab and finish

    • Turn off the heat and return the imitation crab, dunking it into the sauce.
    • Squeeze over another lime.
    • Top with halved boiled eggs and chopped parsley.
