step by step

Method

  1. Preheat the oven

    • Preheat the oven to 175 °C.
    • Lightly grease the pie dish.
    Step 1

  2. Make the cookie dough

    • Whisk the melted butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
    • Beat in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla extract.

  3. Add the dry ingredients

    • Stir in the flour, baking soda and salt until just combined.
    • Fold in the chocolate chips.

  4. Assemble the pie

    • Press half of the cookie dough into the bottom of the pie dish.
    • Spread the warmed Nutella over the dough, leaving a small border.
    • Cover with the remaining dough and seal the edges.

  5. Bake

    • Bake until the edges are golden and the center is still slightly gooey.

  6. Cool and serve

    • Let the pie cool slightly in the dish.
    • Serve warm with a spoon so it stays scoopable.
